I poured a bottle of ketchup on my kitchen floor when I was six years old, in a desperate attempt to miss a day of the first grade. I had the tears, the breathwork, and the chops to almost bring this plan into fruition until my older brother pointed out the difference in consistency and the ketchup bottle on the table. After that, it seemed only fitting that I would quit every sport I was put into and opt for something more messy, bold, thrilling, and weird.

I hail from a small town outside of Charleston, South Carolina called Goose Creek where there are geese statues and men who ride horses through drive thru’s. I grew up watching hundreds of horror movies, psycho-sexual thrillers, and comedies from infancy. I’m a lover of polka dots, all shades of pink and purple, collecting and losing water bottles, making jokes at inopportune times, and switching the channels on the radio until you forbid me from doing it. I lean into the bizarre, disturbing, eccentric parts of the human experience that make my skin crawl and my eyes tear up.
